Do pets and animals go to heaven?
The Straight Answer
The Bible does not directly address this, so a confident answer either way goes beyond what is actually written. There are real hints worth knowing, but nothing that settles it.
What Is Not There
No verse directly addresses whether animals have souls that continue after death, or specifically states pets will be present in the afterlife.
Suggestive Hints Worth Knowing
Romans 8:19 to 21 describes all creation groaning and waiting to be set free from decay alongside believers, which some read as implying a restored creation could include animals. Isaiah 11 pictures a future peaceable kingdom with the wolf and the lamb together, though whether that image is literal or symbolic of peace generally is itself debated.
The Honest Answer
This is a genuinely open question scripture does not settle either way, not something to state with more confidence than the text actually supports.
